I have another odd Thanksgiving break. Well almost odd. On Friday during school I left early before my second class to got to Napa High School for an elementary school tour. We where going to Phillips Charter and Browns valley I think. Well the band left a little late about 15 min late. So Browns valley cancelled on us. Sad but we went to Phillips my elementary school. I got back to school with and hour or 45 mins left of school. The day after was my birth day. I turned 15. I'm 6 months away from driving. Of course we had Thanksgiving but I didn't eat any of that food. I normally don't. After that a new movie can out that I saw twice. It is called "Rse of the Guardians" . I'm going to see it again next weekend. Oh.. I almost forgot I had to get a hair cut. I blame my sister because she put gum in my hair. Had to get the whole thing shaved. sucks I know. But its easier to brush and comb through. So yeah a normal thanksgiving.

I have a big performance coming up in a few days. If your in NHS Marching band I think you know what I mean. If not it's Vintage Band review. It is going to be big. I'm so nervous because the drum-line has to do a formation while playing a song for drum-line. Also we have to stay at attention for 2-4 minutes to get evaluated by a judge. Were being evaluated on form, instrument, and focus  When I mean form I mean we have to stand up straight, with our feet at 45 degree angel, and looking on the orrises en. (Looking up and straight.) Instrument I mean have it at a rest position (Like holding your flute in your hand pointing straight up.) It also has to look good. Like clean, not dirt, and not bumps or scratches . I have to hold two cymbals and hold them together and put them on my left shoulder under my arm. And for focusness you can't smile, can't look around, cant flinch, and can't make a face. Your basically serious for 2-4 minute. And its not easy if your carrying 4-6 pound cymbals for a long time. But I just have to get stronger on my left side.

                                                   

Over the weekend I and this might be a surprise but I was reading. Know it was not a regular boring book like Moby Dick. No. It was a graphic novel  Called Bone. And I didn't read one book I read six of them. They where not in order thought. I read 1,2,3,5,6, and 7. It is so awesome  I read the books before but they where all mashed up in one big book that had all of them in there. But there where no colors. Its is kind of about these three guys. There white creatures, with big noses, and black dots for eyes. They all just got ran out of there home town by there people. That was because of one of the guys. There's Fone Bone, Phoney Bone, and Smiley Bone. They are all cousins. Now Phoney Bone was the richest person in there town. But he was really greedy and mean. He got ran out of town because of a back business deal and he dragged his two other cousins with him. The three cousins got separated by a swarm of locus. Fone Bone fell off a cliff and climbed back up to find that his cousins where gone. After getting lost by a crazy bug named ted Fone Bone lived out in the wood for the first 2 months of winter. He makes friends with the forest animals. He does run into trouble when he runs into two rat creatures that try to kill him. He out runs then only to find a young girl named Thorn.  Fone begins to have a crush on her. After talking he stays with her at her little farm. He does get reunited with Phoney Bone after he rides a cow and started getting chased by Thorn's grandmother Ben. Now Fone and Phoney have to work on grandma's Ben's farm to live in there barn. Phoney Bone having enough he goes to a near by town and fined Smiley Bone. After learning that he has to pay with eggs he works off his prize for drinking. After Fone, Thorn, and grandma Ben are chases out of there house by a rat creatures Fone and Thorn are saved by a Red dragon. This dragon was Fone Bones dragon. After traveling to a near by town Fone Bone is reunited with  his cousin Smiley Bone. At the end of this first book Fone Bone runs to his cousin Phoney Bone and chokes him.  I might tell you the rest of this but for now I'm Done.

I would say that this quote (Below) relates to me because I have little friends here at New Tech but they except me for how I am. If I do something stupid or weird they laugh and don't walk away or say knock it off. I love my friends a lot and don't want to change them either. They are as weird as I am. That's why I love them. If they where to stop being weird I wouldn't have a connection with them any more. I know I've haven't been around or hanging out with them for a will but I had to do my work. I only do more work and less hanging out is because I want to be with another friend at Napa High who's also in the band. I want to be with her so we can plan out what we want to do for our long week breaks. Like for winter break, spring break, and summer. We might be going to Great America over the summer. So that's why I need to hang out with my friends less. Also so I can keep my grade up. But I will promise that I will find time to for my friends and do work at home. I hope.

After watching the Rwandan Riders I was both happy and sad. I was sad because of what happened to the four riders, family, and friends. But happy because of there goals they did. They where perseverancing and never giving up. They pushed them selves to the top. That should me that I can can keep my grades up and keep going to band. It was so awesome when the one rider gave Andrea his bike to win the race. And Andrea made it to the Olympics.

Title: Pitch Reflection
We just finished a Hero’s Journey called The Pitch, a Digital Media project where we designed a media campaign for The Napa Valley Coffee Roaster Company with upper Class-Men.

When we started this journey I felt kind of nervous because I didn't know how the upperclassmen would treat me. I thought that they might be mean of grumpy because my older brother is like that. But they were actually nice to me. They took my ideas into mind and added them into the project.

I met a mentor along the way named Marina. She help me by asking me if I had any ideas.
She also tried to get me to talk to people about our survey. When we were waiting to present I add on some ideas like the one about my wearing the t-shirt and how to show it to the owners.

Now that it’s over, I’m a little sad because it was kind of fun meeting older people. It was great to get the presentation over with though I thought that I was going to faint. I am also happy because I got to see what it was like to be in a digital media class. It was pretty cool.
   

I just started reading this new book today called Poltergeist and it is so cool I mean i feel like
 
I'm freaking out I can't stop my self.

1.In order to be successful, a hero must learn to interpret symbols along his journey.
* During the hero's journey, a hero must learn to accept the fact that he must analyzed symbols that he has come across. Symbols some times come when he is in a situation. The symbol you come across can be good or bad. The hero just has to face it. And then it could turn out right or wrong.

2. During Alex's trip to China in the book the symbols that he came across where a white statue, tank man, tank, and video tapes. The white statue was in the square meant that the chines people wanted freedom. For the tank man he represented that even one person can make a difference. The tanks meant that even your one military can turn against you.

3.  A symbol for New Tech is the tower outside. It shows that we are different and that we are find with that.

I am releaved that im almost done with this book. It was as boring as watching paint. I hope the next book we read is better then this one. So im excited and a little sick at the same time of reading.

Like im going to pass out

Some trails I think a hero should have are bravery, courageousness, determent, and selflessness. When a hero is brave they don't care what will happen. When they have courage they will always go head first into danger. When a hero it determent to do something he puts his mind to it and never gives up no matter what. When a hero goes to save something they should know that they might not get anything in return.
      
Brave.This is Blaziken         Courage. This is Charizard he        Determined. This is Pikachu and he
he is a brave Pokemon        has courage in his heart.               losing to Onix but he is not giving up so easily.
  Selflessness. This is houndoom he has just saved togepi from danger and he did without knowing if he was going to get anything in return.

Over all I think this means to me that "the cave I fear" is to me being afraid to talk to new people. When i'm around my friends i'm fine but when there are some new people I want to talk to I just can and in a way run away. "The treasure I seek" is to me the meaning of  finding joy of making new friends. By talking to people and getting to know them I can tell if I want to be friends with them. That is the treasure I want in the cave. But the question is now am I brave enough to go in the cave or to afraid.
